Vanna Tuffuo speaks to twin brothers Moses and Cyrus about their clothing brand Wayne&Wayne
Adventure and exploration provide endless discoveries. Just so, London based Wayne&Wayne’s brand was inspired by pop culture and youth lifestyle in New York.
The brothers Moses and Cyrus, who make up the duo of Wayne&Wayne, say they were “influenced by urban culture which brought a level of appreciation for the language of fashion and art.” They began their creative quest to design after their summer trip to New York in 2014.
Their father contributed significantly to their dream. At the age of 11 their father came across some art pieces they did for a school project, and, saw something great in their work. He encouraged their involvement in gallery events, which allowed them to appreciate the craft. At this point, it became evident — the opportunities were endless.
The future of Wayne&Wayne looks bright. They have massive collaborations with London artists, and their intention to distribute their merchandise to high street stores rather than an online store is something the brothers are actively working on.
They believe their brand can further be enhanced by spreading the word of creativity to impart energy and integrity to a new youth. “It is all about simplicity and detail. I would challenge the youth to express their natural confidence. Be the future now”.
Success should be built on an individual’s own attempt and personal goal.
